"Na'rimbo" (In Chiapa language, Hormiguillo, tree from which marimbas from Chiapas are constructed)
Na'rimbo is a very unique band with a very contemporary style with a fusion of the most traditional and popular types of Mexican music, specificallyy from Chiapas. Bringing back some traditional themes with a jazz style and some afro-caribbean sounds from where the marimba emerge with a very powerfull and delightful execution.
With big respect to the original pieces they share with the audience, this new and different work from the traditional marimba and its music. They give us the new faces of the Mexican marimba, in pure styles or with a combination of Be Bop, Bossa Nova, Salsa, Timba or zapateado. They also offer us a new way that is always surprising in a very nice way and in good taste.
Na'rimbo is basically a fusion between the traditional Mexican marimba and the popular Worlds music, in an equilibrate ensemble, mature, contemporary and full of energy.
